Newbury BID (Business Improvement District) is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 2012 by local businesses, for local businesses. It is a fully independent, business-led and business-funded Community Interest Company, which exists to allow the 500+ businesses of Newbury Town Centre to work together collaboratively towards a shared vision and purpose.

Special Auction Services was established in 1991 and became famous for its auctions of Staffordshire Pot Lids, Prattware, and Commemoratives. On 1st September 2006, Special Auction Services was acquired by Specialist Auctions Ltd and the first Jewellery, Antiques and Fine Art auction took place, overseen by the new directors Thomas Forrester and Neil Shuttleworth.Special Auction Services (SAS) has since expanded and now holds over 50 specialist auctions each year. In 2012 we were invited to become a member of Society Of Fine Art Auctioneers (SOFAA).Our team prides itself on combining a high level of honesty, expertise and professionalism. Our friendly attitude and personal service sees buyers and sellers returning regularly time after time.
