Paul Brackley

Paul Brackley is the editor of the Cambridge Independent, joint editor of iQ business magazine and editorial director for their publisher, Iliffe Media Ltd.

With more than 20 years experience in the industry, Paul helped to establish Iliffe Media in 2016, and has led the Cambridge Independent to unprecedented success, winning Weekly Newspaper of the Year five years on the trot at the Newspaper Awards and winning News Brand of the Year at the Regional Press Awards 2024. Against industry trends, the newspaper is selling more printed copies year-on-year - for the second year running - while growing digital subscriptions, its newsletter audience and expanding its website reach.

Paul launched the Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards in 2017, and has organised and hosted them ever since, chairing its judging panel, and is now looking forward to helping establish the Cambridge Independent Business Awards to celebrate the region's business prowess, which he writes about each week within the pages of the Cambridge Independent.
